Sports Coaching in USA

Sports Camp Staff

There are many attributes that make up a good sports camp, but one of the most important aspects is the quality of the camp director and his/her coaching staff. These are the people that are in a position to have a long lasting effect on the children, and they can make the difference between a good camp and a fantastic camp experience for the children attending.

One unfaltering policy of USSI is to provide professional sports educators to deliver all of our programs.  Successful applicants are selected for their experience and qualifications as well as their high energy levels.  A USSI coach will inspire, motivate and encourage all children on all programs.

US Sports Institute Commitment to Excellence

To secure a position as a USSI coach, applicants must complete a thorough review process which includes a personal interview, coaching assessment and criminal background check. All staff must prove at least 3 years coaching, teaching or sports education experience.

Prior to the summer camp, all staff members go through an extensive week long orientation process, ensuring your child will experience a camp program they will remember for years to come.

USSI typically have a camper to staff ratio of 10:1 to ensure that your child gets all the attention they deserve on the program.  A designated Camp Coordinator is available at each location to ensure the smooth running of the program and answer any of your questions through out the week.

From the first day of camp to the last, the USSI camp staff were always on time and prepared.  I was particularly pleased with how they interacted with the parents and children enrolled in the camp.  They always went out of their way to interact with the parents and make the children feel welcome.  This is one of the most important aspects of a successful youth program and it was evident that your staff was well trained in this area.
